The Chainsmokers

I love this song and I'm so happy it's out today. Externally, this is the first song after our last EP teaturing the lovely @kimpetras.
Internally this song marks a shift in the way we've been making music in the absolute best way. It lead us to rediscovering the process that started all of this back when we were making indie remixes in 2014 hoping they would get some traction on hype machine. A couple songs in, the central theme through this EP turned into the process of getting over someone(thing?) however it marked a period of leveling up for us on a bunch of different fronts. Making more interesting music, drinking less, doing a better job at protecting the little free time we have, getting comfortable with being wrong every now and then. Chapter Six is gonna stay open for a while as we ride this wave. Thank you to those who helped inspire this first piece and of course.. no hard feelings.

There is a different type of energy around us than there was this time last year. I can't put my finger on it but it feels right and everything is falling into place this time. We just did 4 shows in the last two days and have one more tonight and then off to Shanghai for 2 more but i feel awake with plenty of energy for what's next. I'm not sure what's coming (other then a shit ton of flights lol) but l'm stoked to find out.
