The Old Bags Luncheon for the Center for Family Services #LOVEThePalmBeaches provides an exceptional silent auction of new and gently used authentic designer handbags. Ladies and gentlemen alike flock to this once a year opportunity. The Mediterranean Ballroom known for its extraordinary Renaissance-styled elaborate fresco-painted ceilings and Venetian-style chandeliers filled noteworthy guests at 10:30am with a Champagne reception with lite bites. The 15-foot arched windows overlooking the Mediterranean Courtyard allowed the perfect amount of light to view handbags from some of the most esteemed global designers.

Recent thirst trap extraordinaire, publishing, broadcasting, merchandising guru, past Chanel model and stockbroker, Martha Stewart hosted the event as the keynote and celebrity speaker. Rest in peace, fashion icon extraordinaire. I met Iris at her 101st Birthday Party in Palm Beach at a private residence. We found each other fascinating. She loved Kachinas and told me that she had loads of them in N.Y.C. and Palm Beach. I’m Hopi and the Kachina is Hopi. She asked me when I was going to interview her. It was an overwhelming question and I never did. I then met her again through Annie Watt, again in Palm Beach. She recently used my photo for her Instagram. I was looking forward to her next Birthday.
