Here are some process photos of the container as i painted the circles snd mapped out the logos. The design was created by the team at @landesbergpgh - including two awesome people to work with, @timmadle and @olsen.piper - thanks for the recommendation piper! Working with RiverLife was a great experience - i especially want to thank @emilylaughed for all the work she put it how many questions and phone calls she answered of mine! 🥳
Go and enjoy the space! It's a really nice addition to the city's nightlife.

This mural was hand painted with acrylic paint over the course of about ~2.5 months. The scale is around 31'h x 35'w (minus the stairs of course). The idea was brought to me by the creative owners who wanted a realistic looking 1950's themed drive-in scene, with multiple cars and people and a setting sun in the background to give a twilight glow to the scene. The main component of the wall was set to be a very large installed projector screen that will play movies and more while the business is open. I wanted to incorporate this screen as though it were a part of the painting. This project brought on so many enjoyable learning experiences from logistical planning, sketching on this scale, working efficiencies and more. Considering that i never painted any cars before this, it was a lot of fun to learn to paint something new.
One of the things i'm grateful for while doing this kind of work is getting to talk to people with ideas and bringing those ideas to life for them. It adds purpose that goes beyond my own selfish pursuits in the art world and it prioritizes someone else. You give them what they want with the best of your ability so that the art and someone else's purpose become infused and add to the greater experience for everyone else. Studio work is different. it can be similar, but it's not always for someone el

An Art Project for @_laura_rock_ and her kids.
Hand-painted with acrylic paint in a powder room under a staircase.
Laura contacted me in December of 2024 with an idea to paint her powder room under her staircase in the theme of the movie My Neighbor Totoro - A famous Studio Ghibli film with incredible hand-painted scenes throughout. I agreed and when schedules finally aligned in August 2025, we began talking and planning about the scenes we like and where they will go. The project started out as a few scenes and then with our combined excitement, grew into every surface, including inside the cabinets and onto the door.
I can't thank Laura and her family enough for their consistent hospitality, great company and conversation while i sat in this tiny bathroom and painted every square inch of the walls. There is something really unique about sitting inside such a small room and turning it from blank white walls to an immersive colorful experience everywhere you look. The mental and physical toll it takes is pretty grueling if I'm being honest, but such is the case with any artistic process when you're lost deep in the middle of it all not sure when you'll find your way out. This part specifically really adds to how special it feels when i finish, and how grateful i feel to be able to do things like this. Painting in the style of studio Ghibli really taught me a lot and gave

I want to thank @riverlifepgh for hiring me this summer to hand paint the design on the entire shipping container for the new #ShoreThing event space / outdoor brewery down on the north shore! I was super excited to be apart of this unique project.

My most recent finished mural for a local business set to open sometime in the near future.
