I took a weekend road trip in Colombia: MedellĂn → Fredonia → Manizales → Valle de Cocora. Amazing landscapes, new trees, and good people along the way.
On the way back I decided to ride home in the pouring rain at 8pm for a 6–7 hour drive. Probably not my smartest idea.
About 1 hour from MedellĂn, my bike ran out of gas at 1am on a dark highway. No gas stations, no Uber, nowhere to go. I started pushing the bike up a hill thinking I might have to sleep outside.
Then a car passed… so I stuck my thumb out.
To my surprise, they stopped.
Aguila, Nico, and Vale helped me tow my bike for almost an hour until we reached a gas station. Somewhere between broken Spanish and laughter, I learned Aguila does bike tricks, and he learned I’m decent with a camera.
So we decided to make this video together as a thank you for saving me.
Made it home around 3am.

A una hora de MedellĂn, mi moto se quedĂł sin gasolina a la 1am en una carretera oscura. No habĂa gasolineras, ni Uber, ni a dĂłnde ir. EmpecĂ© a empujar la moto cuesta arriba pensa

144Over the years of traveling to many new locations, renting A Vespa has always enhanced my adventure. The freedom to ride from location to location, stopping when I please, to snap a photo, or to take in the views. After visiting Italy last year for the first time I knew I wanted to create something for Vespa. This past month @benjamingugick and I headed out to Italy. Despite facing a few technical difficulties and inconveniences, we managed to find a day to shoot our video.
Riding down the Almafi cost with the sun kissing our skin, grabbing fresh OJ, or pulling over on the side of the road to explore new areas. This is what I envision being the essence of experiencing a Vespa.
