So early this morning, this woman aggressively flags me down from her chair on the beach. 🏝️ I assumed she was gonna ask me to turn down my music 🙄 (which is sometimes the only reason folks speak to me) 🎶 But instead, she said that she needed a big strong man to help her get into the water 🌊 because her knees were bad. And so I fit the part! 😂💪🏾 Ms. Ava was such a lovely, vibrant woman. We spent almost two hours in the water talking! 💫 She’s 80 years young from Ukraine, in town visiting her daughter from San Fran. I had to laugh at myself because even in my quest for wellness and enlightenment, I too sometimes judge a book by its cover. But God always humbles us, if we stay open to it 🤲🏾
