Rick wanted the coffin with the Gus but he wanted it shorter so it resembled more of a beat up old-school fedora. Then he wanted the brim to cover his eyes and have a little curl on the sides. The fun part is, he brought his own materials to make the band and one piece of that his mother made him before she passed away. So he can always keep a little piece of her with him!
