Heather Gilchrist

Salt and water stayed high and steady throughout the load.
We increased sodium on the first load day, then brought it back to normal the next day as the carbs continued doing their job.
On Friday night, as we tapered carbs down, we strategically increased fats and brought potassium up at the same time.
All of it was planned to pull water into the muscle, tighten the look, dry out, and keep her full without spilling.
Quick tip: if you’re lean enough, that fat bump can work magic. If you’re not in shape… don’t try it.
Super proud of this one today.
We haven’t hit finals yet, but this morning’s package was dialed in. Presentation on point. And this was her first time ever stepping on stage.
Now we wait to hear what the judges say!

The left was a month before my show, the right was a week and a half ago (four months into my offseason). I’m clearly a little softer, but I’m definitely putting on some quality tissue, too. I’m starting to get excited about what this is going to look like when I cut back down.
…but that won’t be until late in the year. Coach @teamkushphysiques and I talked out the plan this week, and we decided that I’m not going to compete until the end of the year. This way, I’ll only have to do one prep, one cut, so that I can stay in offseason to build for as long as possible. This plan also means that I’ll only cut down once in the approach to all of my shows for the season—all in fairly rapid succession, starting in October and ending with my last chance at nationals (for the year) in December.
I’m gonna get beefy over here. I have about six months to work on my upper back width before I get really lean again.
Watch me grow! 🙌

🏆 WE NAILED HER FIRST EVER PEAK WEEK 🎯
@heathergilx our peak couldn’t have gone more perfectly. Being ready early and running a full practice peak gave us the confidence to push this woman through 1,500+ grams of carbs over the last couple days lol.
