We often think IF ONLY we could call the shots and do whatever pleases us, then we would REALLY be free. And yet, in that chase of bucking all authority, we end up enslaved and void of life. Experiencing true freedom comes in surrendering to the care of our Good Shepherd and trusting Him.

“They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.” - 2 Peter 2:19

“But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.” - Romans 6:17-18
