Lipoedema with Elise on The Lipodema Podcast

What I thought was just stubborn cellulite turned out to be LIPEDEMA — a chronic, progressive fat disorder affecting millions of women, often misdiagnosed or ignored. This is not your fault. And you’re not alone.
🧬 Lipedema is a rare adipose tissue disorder marked by:
❌ Painful fat buildup
❌ Fibrotic, nodular tissue under the skin
❌ Constant swelling
❌ Easy bruising
❌ Skin hypersensitivity
But here’s the GOOD news: with awareness and the right strategies, we can take control. 🙌
✅ Reduced pain
✅ Empowered food choices
✅ Lower inflammation
✅ Improved mobility
✅ More self-love and body peace 💛
👉 Consistency is key in making this shift.
✨ One of the most powerful tools I’ve found is the RAD (Rare Adipose Disorder) Diet. It’s not restrictive—it’s healing. The RAD way changed my mindset around food and gave me my life back. Here’s why I swear by it:
🥦 Reduces inflammation

You might know the common signs of lipedema—painful, swollen legs, disproportionate fat, and easy bruising. But there’s one symptom almost NO ONE talks about… and it could be the missing piece to your diagnosis. 😳
SAVE this post & follow @lipedemawithelise so you don’t miss any important lipedema info!
Have you ever felt tiny, pebble-like lumps under your skin? Maybe your legs or arms feel lumpy, fibrous, or even tender to the touch. That’s NOT just cellulite. It’s fibrotic lipedema fat. 🫨
🚨 3 Scientific Facts About Lipedema Nodules:
🔬 They’re not ‘normal’ fat – Lipedema fat hardens over time, forming nodules that feel like peas or marbles under the skin.
🔬 They block lymphatic flow – These fibrotic lumps can worsen swelling and inflammation, making your legs feel heavy.
🔬 They’re linked to pain & bruising – Fibrotic tissue makes skin more fragile, causing pain and those mysterious bruises.
And here’s the kicker… doctors often MISS this symptom! 🤯 That’s why so many women are misdiagnosed or told it’s just ‘weight gain.’ But if you feel these hard, painful bumps, your body is trying to tell you something.
▶️3 Ways to Reduce Lipedema Nodules & Swelling:
✅ Lymphatic-friendly movement 🚴♀️ – Swimming, cycling, and strength training help prevent fat fibrosis.
✅ Compression therapy 🩷 – Proper compression improves circulation and slows fibrotic fat progressi

When I first heard I had lipedema, I felt overwhelmed, powerless… and in pain. No doctor told me what to do. Just “manage it.” But I needed action. I needed relief. And I needed it to be simple.
That’s when I discovered these 4 gentle heel raise variations—done using just a @rolex book or brick at home. 🌿
I added them into my mornings and within 2 weeks, here’s what I noticed:
💃 Better posture while walking and standing
🧊 Noticeably less swelling in my ankles and calves
❤️ Improved blood flow and warmth in my feet
🦵 Joints felt less stiff, more stable
Here’s what I do (only takes 7–10 min!):
1️.Classic Heel Raises – up & down slowly (x20 reps)
2️.Alternating Heel Lifts – one foot at a time (x20 each side)
3️.Heels Outwards – toes in, heels up (x15 reps)
4️.Heels Inwards – toes out, heels up (x15 reps)
🕓 Do this 3–5x/week, best in the morning for circulation kickstart.
💧Drink AquaLise before to help lymph flow – it’s my daily must.
Love, 💕
Elise
