On December second through the fourth, protective professionals from Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Alabama and beyond came down to Dade County in order to sharpen their skills and test themselves.

Proctored by active and retired Military and Law Enforcement leaders, the “Shadow” course allows the end student the ability to train and network biannually alongside colleagues and mentors in a high stress learning environment

Co Developed by the late Shamir “Shadow” Bolivar, The Miami Protective Skills Workshop is a biannual training and networking opportunity designed to expand the existing skills of the working protective professional.

Held in the sweltering Dade County heat, Day three starts with an overview of basic protective fundamentals with Mr Jeremy, a State Dept WPS instructor and former Marine Scout Sniper. Client interaction, client movement, advance considerations and arrivals and departures are a just some of the topics covered in the morning with all students getting the opportunity to get reps in as a member of an EP team during practical exercises.

At the conclusion of lunch, students gear up to take on “The Shadow Course “, developed by Shamir “Shadow” Bolivar , the Shadow Course is a culminating exercise designed to push the protective professional to their limits while making students utilize their full range of skills in a fast paced, high stress environment.
