As we head into our first Play for MKJ event next week, held in Western Massachusetts and hosted at Minnechaug, not only places where Melissa got her start playing basketball but also helped put girls basketball on the map, let’s take a look back at the MKJ high school years - a basketball all star, admired friend and one-of-a-kind teammate.
10Play for MKJ is a nonprofit organization is dedicated to empowering young athletes through the transformative power of basketball and education. We will celebrate the legacy of Melissa by creating a supportive community where young athletes can build confidence, leadership and a love for the game. Our mission is to empower these athletes through access to resources that foster their growth both on and off the court. Melissa made a lasting impact on every life she touched and every person she met. We are committed to honoring Melissa by carrying on as she would by working to make a lasting impact on the lives of athletes.
