Season & Hours: Typically May–late October; last entry earlier in late October. Tickets required in season. No pets.
3) Loon Mountain Gondola (White Mountain Express)
Ride to the summit for sweeping foliage views; caves and observation tower up top.
Good to know: Online tickets available; fall is popular and hours can vary by date. Check the fall guide and ticket page before you go.

Highest summit in the Northeast; outrageous views on clear days.
Access: Mount Washington Auto Road (drive or guided tour). Operations and last-car times are weather dependent. Always check same-day status.
