Yesterday I took the most important step in life; I found myself feeling empty, and the past couple weeks I haven’t been myself. As I sat down and talked to @mrjasonowilson , he asked me when I came to know Christ as my Lord and savior, and I told him I couldn’t remember, but I did it when I was a kid. At that point in my life, I was young and trying to do the right thing, but I simply just didn’t have the understanding of it. Well, yesterday Jesus called me, and I answered that call. The void that I was feeling the past few weeks and the emptiness I felt were lifted, and I gave all my burdens to him. You see, oftentimes in life we put the cart before the horse.

Remember, salvation isn’t about performance—it’s about your position. In Christ, salvation has positioned you in Him—secure, forgiven, and loved—not because of your stats in life or on the field, but because of His sacrifice (Ephesians 2:8–9). As a cornerback, you can’t chase applause, play in fear, or dwell on mistakes—you have to live freely in the moment. If you get burned on one play but keep looking back at the crowd, the scoreboard, and the sidelines—the next play will defeat you too.

In Christ, you don’t have to chase attention or approval anymore—not from fans, not from coaches, and not even from family. You already have the Father’s approval through the sacrifice of Yahushua
